Tank valve stems plastic cap. Provides method of injecting and holding air in pneumatic water systems. The National Pipe Thread used to attach the stem to the pressurized container is at the bottom of the valve stem, providing minimum protrusion within the container.
I found it a bit difficult to locate a store selling air valves with no core (no spring) where I didn’t have to buy a thousand units, so I was happy that Merrill had them. I would give them a five star rating except that the caps that came with them are not the kind that have a valve stem remover tool and, more importantly, a vent hole. I’m using these as a vacuum break on my well pump, so the cap needs to allow air in. It would be nice if they offered a choice of caps. Otherwise, these are exactly what I needed.
